DESCRIPTION:A photographic exhibition of the many black majority churches (mostly Pentecostal) that are based in the London Borough of Southwark, by Chloe Dewe Mathews. Chloe worked with churches that have created new spaces for worship in buildings that were once factories, warehouses and bingo halls. Therefore Tate Modern has something in common with many such churches, in that they are also housed in former industrial premises.
