Torbjorn Aronson

I am a Research fellow in church history at the Department of Theology, Uppsala University, Sweden, having a Ph.D. in Political Science (1990) and a Th.D. in Church history (2008).

I have written a major history on the Charismatic revival in Sweden: Guds eld över Sverige. Svensk väckelsehistoria efter 1945. (1ed 1990, 2ed 2005). Right now I am working with two research project at my department, one about Swedish High-Church Lutheranism in the 19th century and the other about the role of Swedish Neo-Pentecostal mission in the growth of Russian Neo-Pentecostal churches and denominations 1990-2010. I am also a co-author of a coming book about Swedish Pentecostal Movement in the 1950s, together with professor Jan-Ake Alvarsson and doctoral student Joel Halldorf and Th.D. Nils-Eije Stavare.
