Linda Ambrose

Full Professor, History department.

I am working on a series of biographical studies of Canadian women who were active in Pentecostalism from 1910-1990. My approach is informed by gender theory, cultural studies, and theories of biography such as "the performed self." I have presented several conference papers over the past 5 years at venues including the SPS (USA) and the Canadian Congress of Humanities and Social Sciences. I have recently been funded by my university to pursue this work and have applied for funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.
