Nathanael Homewood is a Yang Visiting Scholar in World Christianity at Harvard Divinity School, the General Secretary of the African Association for the Study of Religions, and the editor for Modern and Global Christianity in the Religious Studies Review. A native of Canada, he earned his Ph.D. in Global Christianity at the Department of Religion, Rice University, in May 2018. His first book, Seductive Spirits: Deliverance, Demons, and Sexual Worldmaking in Ghanaian Pentecostalism, will be published by Stanford University Press in January 2024. His current projects include an exploration of global Christianity within the city of Houston for Bloomsbury Publishing and a wide-sweeping exploration of the worldwide influence of popular faith healer Benny Hinn.
