On Thursday, March 16th, 2006, there will be a symposium at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam on the Reformed Roots of Pentecostalism. Dr. William Menzies, a noted Pentecostal scholar and historian will present a paper on this topic. Professor dr. C. van der Kooi and Dr. W. van Vlastuin will respond to the paper presented by Dr. Menzies.

On Thursday, March 16th, 2006, there will be a symposium at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam on the Reformed Roots of Pentecostalism. Dr. William Menzies, a noted Pentecostal scholar and historian will present a paper on this topic. Professor dr. C. van der Kooi and Dr. W. van Vlastuin will respond to the paper presented by Dr. Menzies.
William Menzies is currently, the Chancellor of the Asia Pacific Theological Seminary, Baguio, The Philippines. He was one of the founders of the Society Of Pentecostal Studies, an international forum for scholarly discussions and publications on Pentecostal- charismatic studies in 1968. He was the first editor of Pneuma.
Prof. dr. C. van der Kooi is professor of Theology of the Charismatic Renewal at the Vrije Universiteit and he also teaches Dogmatics .
Dr. W. van Vlastuin is minister of the Hersteld Nederlandse Hervormde Kerk at Katwijk and also teaches at the Vrije Universiteit. His Ph.D. research was onThe Outpouring of the Spirit. A Study in Jonathan Edwards and His Doctrine of the Holy Spirit in Revival.
