Frank Macchia and Amos Yong will be keynote speakers at the next workshop meeting of the German "Interdisciplinary Work Group on Pentecostalism". They will present papers on the workshop topic "Pneumatology from Pentecostal Perspectives". Michael Welker and Michael Bergunder will give responses.

Introduction

The "Interdisciplinary Workgroup on Pentecostalism" was founded at the University of Heidelberg in 2004. It networks scholars from different fields of cultural studies and theology in German-speaking countries. Regular workshops are hosted in Heidelberg, consisting of presentations on a general topic and diverse project presentations of workgroup members.

This workshop's general theme has a theological focus on Pneumatology. With Prof. Frank Macchia and Prof. Amos Yong two prominent Pentecostal theologians will be presenting their work and will enter into discussion with Heidelberg systematic theologians. A panel discussion will conclude this debate. Since the work group comprises theologians from Reformed, Lutheran and Pentecostal traditions, we expect an enlightening and challenging theological exchange on Pneumatology.
